Government compliance - Germany
Fiscalization receipts
In Germany, the KassenSichV ordinance requires all bills and invoices to be signed and recorded by an external Technische Sicherheitseinrichtung (Technical Security Element, TSE). TSEs are certified by the BSI (Bundesamt für Sicherheit in der Informationstechnik). A journal needs to be kept and retained for a period of 10 years. Cloudbeds is currently working on a solution for this.
Statistical reporting
Hotels need to report statistical reports monthly and upload them to the local IDEV portal. The format is the same across jurisdictions. Cloudbeds provides this export to properties monthly for easy upload.
Guest reporting
These requirements were dropped by the German government effective Jan 1, 2024.
