E-Invoicing

Current Mandates:

The Comprobante Fiscal ElectrΓ³nico requires all businesses in Argentina to issue export invoices electronically for all transactions, including sales and purchases. The AFIP (AdministraciΓ³n Federal de Ingresos PΓΊblicos), which oversees tax collection and compliance in the country, manages the system.

All taxpayers registered for VAT or the simplified regime and exempt entities must issue electronic invoices.

Issuers must obtain from the tax authority an Electronic Authorization Code (CAE). The archiving period is of 5 years, starting from the expiry of the statute of limitations of the relevant financial year (10 to 12 years).
