Language Customization 

Do you host international guests? Would you like to greet your guests in their own language? In that case, you need to make sure that you are not only customizing email templates in your main platform language, but also translating into any relevant other languages. 

Anywhere in the system you see a flag icon, it means that you can choose the targeted language you would like to translate to. Translations do not happen automatically; you must translate your text separately, and then copy-paste the translation into the targeted language section. 

How to know what language an email will be sent to your guest in?

• Reservations made via Booking Engine: When your guest books a room on the Booking Engine, they can select the platform language in the right upper corner of the screen. This determines the language of the email confirmation.
• Reservation made within Cloudbeds PMS: When a reservation is created manually, the language of the email confirmation is determined by the country entered in Guest Details.

• Make sure to translate the email template Reservation Confirmed or Pending Confirmation to the relevant languages you want your guest to receive. 
• To limit the languages available on the Booking Engine, go to the Language Settings.

Customizing send-from and reply-to

As a hotel guest, would you rather receive a confirmation email from admin@cloudbeds.com – a company unheard of to you and unrelated to the beach hotel in Mallorca you just booked, or would you prefer to receive your confirmation email from the head of Front Desk at your hotel of choice?
